Quantity over quality
Creativity is born when you’re pushed against a wall and forced to find a way out. That’s why the goal isn’t to write a few good ideas — it’s to write as many ideas as possible.
The first ideas you write are the surface-level ones: the ones you’ve had for a while, or the ones that popped up the second you read the task. Once they’re all on paper, your brain switches on for real. It has to look for new ways to come up with ideas — and starts taking more creative paths.
That’s why the most original ideas are almost always at the end of your list.
In the skill → You write at least 15 ideas (aim for 20–30) — bad ideas welcome. You can’t move on until you hit 15.
